12/7/20 sunday service - Count of things loss

Today service the main verse we read is Phillipians 3 : 8 - 11
Then Pastor Kenneth asked this mind-boggling Question.

This is a good question because it kick start something in me. I became introspective. And its going deep.  So my answer is this.

When i chose God, and came back to Sabah on 2012, Leaving Kl for good and coming back to Sabah. It wasn't comfortable and it certainly is a leaving my "comfort zone" kind of thing.
I left a great place, a great church, great mentor, great ministry and opportunity in church (in ministry and also girls *wink wink* you know what i mean) and great friends in church. Other than church, i lose out on job opportunity, career advancement, business opportunity, and relationship opportunity (imagine how many chance i would have in a big city with so many people i could meet).

I consider all this as a Loss.

Just by following God. and to know i am walking in His plans, is a blessing and comfort for me.  Even though sometimes it felt like walking on water. But through these years in Sabah. What i felt, i have lost, God have proven faithful and have been blessing me back.

Seeing God move in me, through me and with me. And through all this, helps me see and know God even more than ever!
His power, His character, His faithfulness, His thoughts, His perspective, His ways, His Love and many more. Being able to suffer together as i am given a chance to serve him in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Even when i am back in KK, everyone was looking and wondering what i can do. I actually came back defeated. (I failed in business, i have debts, i have no house, no car, no career) Yet, i found Him, and know him, and to be able to walk in faith and rely on him. This reliance, helps me to walk in righteousness in God. Even though there are ups and downs, and i have done many mistakes, but walking in this way, helps me enjoy His righteousness. And i found that it is imposibble for me to be righteous and sin-less. However i can put on the righteousness of God and i can follow Him. I can have victory over sin. I Can persue God and Christlikeness. It is a lifelong journey to work on my Salvation.

This start me thinking what if:
1. If i had stayed in KL and disobey God's calling for me to go back to Sabah, I might end up serving ministry than God.
2. I might be too comfortable to self improve
(I learned patience and change of views., i now believe in efficacy rather than being efficient, there are so much more)
3. I Found the love of my life
4. I get to live a life of what God wants me to be.
5. I get to have Opportunity and experience to create and bring forth changes in Likas Baptist Church
6. I had 3 years of roofing industry expereience and another 4 years of getting to know the entire sabah market, meeting and building rapport with directors in sabah. A Job experience that i wouldnt have in KL.
7. A Business experience of doing roofing business and now a chance to enter into detergent supply and car care business.
8. At the highest of my salary in Sabah, i once earned five figure salary.
9. I have met and made Great friends
10. More importantly, i get to build and spend time with my Parents and siblings. I get to spend time with my niece and nephew. (especially during MCO, i can see how precious this is)

After introspecting, I think I can say this now, "I Have no Regrets and i Have not loss anything, instead i have gain so much more".

So this is my response to God:
I am remembered of the Joy of following God as i write this.
And i want to conclude that Following God is amazing.

So I will write my answer to this question in a form of My prayer to God.

Dear Lord, be it deep waters or high mountains, good or bad or tough times, even if to suffer with you. God, as long as you are with me, i am contented and blessed. I want to renew my pledge with You Lord, That please lead me, send me and i will go. I want to walk in you and with you. Help me to walk in faith and to step out into the unknown, as long as i know you are with me, i will go.
In Jesus' Name I pray,
Amen!

Malaysia GE13, blackout magic helps BN remains in power.

Saw this post by Rosheen Fatima on Monday, May 6, 2013 in facebook and she says exactly what is on my mind

I'm going to say something that most people are not going to like hearing, and I'm saying this because of the huge amount of black on my facebook wall.

Did you, any of you, really think that PR would sweep the elections? Put aside the dirty campaigning, and election tactics, did you really think PR would win?

From what i've seen over social media over the last few months, I thought that PR would win more seats. I believed that there would be a bigger change, I believed that the people would put into action what they were so vocal (online) about. But then I stopped myself and looked at the people in my social circles, the people I interact with online. We are a tiny, tiny middle class online savvy minority. It is because your social circle expected a certain outcome that you did too. But we do not represent the majority, and we don't even interact with them. Do you really expect to predict how they will vote? My father is Sarawakian, and I lived there for many years of my life. I lived in Kuching, but I know that in the interior and rural areas there are so many Malaysians who are not like you, who are not like me. Did I expect them to vote for PR, no. Did I expect them to vote for BN, yes. Why? Because that is all they see, that is what they know, the bribe money that they get means so much to them because they have close to nothing. And it's sad to say that that is the majority that we do not know.

So instead of turning your profile pictures black, if you really believe in change and the party you support, start planning now. Start the campaign to win the hearts of the people outside the urban areas, the people in the heartland. We know what's going on, they don't. Go talk to them.

And Malaysians, get to know the other Malaysia. Don't criticise them for voting the way they feel is right. Speak to them, get to know them, understand their plight, their needs, their wants. Then campaign to them, the urbanites are practically campaigning for you already.

And don't wait until a few months before the elections to campaign. Start now. Start fighting for measures to be put in place for a better electoral system now. Start making those in power more accountable for their actions. Start making your candidates accountable for the promises they made. Stop allowing mudslinging and racism and sexism to flourish in our government. You won't stand for it, make your candidate not stand for it. Make them fight for a proper democracy over the next 5 years. Then we can see a change. It doesn't happen overnight. it doesn't come with one day every five years. And it definitely won't come if you give up.

And make the change in you.
You want our politicians to stop being racist and sexist, then stop doing it yourself. You want our government to stop being corrupt, then stop corruption in your own life. You want cleanliness and transparency in our country, live clean, live transparent.

You are one of the atoms that make up Malaysia, don't ask for the changes that you don't live by. Don't be a hypocrite and ask the people in power to be any different from you.

Take the small victories. No one ever said that the journey would be short or easy.
Did anyone ever think that PR would make inroads into the birthplace of UMNO, Johor? I didn't, but they did.
Did anyone expect 80% of registered voters to turn out to vote? I didn't, but they did.

In 2003, BN won 198 seats.
In 2008, BN won 140 seats.
In 2013, BN won (as of time of posting) 132 seats (with 6 seats uncalled).
So whatever it is, it is still a small victory for PR.
And now the question is what will the numbers be in 2018?

Gandhi took 32 years to fight for independence.
Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years in the fight to end apartheid.

And we've been trying for what 10 years?
Come on Malaysia, grow up.
Yes, you're sad, but a fight is a fight, it goes on.

Democracy doesn't happen overnight, democracy is a journey.
Just because there are hurdles and obstacles in your way doesn't mean you give up. You train for the next race. And maybe that one you'll win.

PSY Gentleman @ Nightmare come true

PSY have done it again!
South Korean pop star Psy on Saturday unveiled a hip-swinging dance and music video for his new song, aimed at replicating the global success of "Gangnam Style" and its famed horse-riding dance.
The singer showed off the much-anticipated dance moves -- a simple swaying, grinding hip movement -- at a promotional concert in Seoul, held at a time of heightened military tensions with North Korea.

On saturday, i thought to myself "please NO!". Don't kill Gwiyomi! not that i really fancy Gwiyomi, but this song was a little too vulgar for it to be a viral.
Never did I know this song could break
Justine Beiber's youtube most view  in a single day!

Amazing, i personally don't think this song is better than gangnam, but i do accept anything new. Thing is the lyrics is a little too crazy for me. However, Psy's MV has always captivate me. Hahaha,

The official Video

Here are the Lyrics

Gwiyomi Viral @ Kiyomi The next Gangnam

Recently there is this Kiyomi thing going on, it is being said that, Harlem Shake has shake off the  Gangnam style, and now, people start to forget the stupid LAME harlem shake. now everyone is talking about  Gwiyomi(Kiyomi). I wanted to do the Gwiyomi dance, but then again, it is actually meant for cute people. with my face, no matter how cute i act. it is still a failure. Then i had this chance of recording this korean friend of mine in a dinner, so i decided to do a blog post about this Gwiyomi Viral issue.

What is This Gwiyomi about?
“The Gwiyomi Song” (귀요미송, meaning “The Cutie Song”) is a 2013 chiptune pop song by South Korean indie singer-songwriter Hari. Upon its release on the Korean web, the song quickly went viral on virtually all top music charts and even inspired a participatory video series in which the participant performs a repertoire of cute hand gestures to the song.

The Origin of this song and term?
Gwiyomi (귀요미, pronounced as Kiyomi) is a South Korean internet slang term meaning “cute” or a “cute person” used in somewhat similar vein to the Japanese term “Kawaii.” Composed and performed by two South Korean aspiring musicians Dandi and Hari, the song was originally uploaded in late January 2013 and officially released as a digital single on February 18th, 2013 (below, first video). Within days, the title of the song had become the most searched term on the Korean search portal site Naver.

The Lyrics

And Quickly people posted a lot more, and created their own hand actions that is cute to them.

This is what people compile together as their own preference top 10 cuties

This is Eunjee Choi, the korean friend that infected me with this Gwiyomi Virus.

I hope everyone could enjoy this trend, it wont be long that it might be blown away by another viral video.
All i can say is thank you for killing off the annoying Harlem shake.

Some of my friends wanted to check out me doing this gwiyomi song. so i decided, for the first time of my life, i am gonna do it.

*cover face*

Kintsukuroi - The art of repairing broken pottery

Today i read a post that really interest me.So i decided to post about it :)

A friend in Japan sent me this image today and I found it quite compelling. It illustrates the art of kintsukuroi, which literally means “to repair with gold.” It is the art of repairing broken pottery with gold or silver lacquer to make the final piece a greater work of art for having been broken.

I love how image illustrates what my Father does in the brokenness of our world. He’s able to pick up the pieces of our shattered lives and craft them back together in a way that makes us an even better reflection of his glory than we were before. Amazing. Just amazing!

Is that why God is not so easily threatened by the problems and challenges we face in this age? Where we see evil and failure, he sees the opportunity to craft a better piece of art. I’ve been through some horrible things in my life and have suffered some crushing disappointments, but as I look back I see God doing his work of healing in all of them that led me into a greater place of freedom, healing, and joy. Yes, much of that was through many tears and anguish, but I just kept coming to him and surrendering as best I knew to what he was doing in me.

I love where I’ve landed in his life and I know much of the joy that I live now came out of those selfish and arrogant places that were crushed in times of personal failure, betrayal by others, frustration, or grief. As I look back, however, I do see others who were part of those same circumstances that didn’t find the same healing and freedom. Instead their brokenness caused them to withdraw into their own strength and fight harder for those things they think they wanted. They end up imprisoned by their own will in sorrow, stress, and pain. His healing does not come from trying to save ourselves, but only when we give up and come to him and let his healing patch us back together.

One of the phrases Eugene Peterson uses recurrently in his translation of the Bible (The Message) is that Jesus will have “the last word on everything thing and everyone.” He uses that for those Scriptures that talk of Jesus being seated at the right hand of God and all things will be put under his feet. I love that thought.

It’s one I explored further in In Season, because my dad always had the last word on his vineyard. Even though many workers came to harvest the grapes or prune the vines, he was always the last presence passing through his vineyard. He would go behind everyone else and find whatever was missed, fix whatever was wrong, and ensure that it was all just the way he wanted it.

No matter what happens in this age, he will get the last word. He doesn't have it yet. Many times the wicked seem to prevail and those who cheat seem to get ahead. But if we keep our eyes on him, we’ll be able to see things as they really are and be at peace even in a world that is falling apart around us. Why? Because he can have the last word on everything that happens to you today, and he will have the last word on everything in this entire age soon!

Hope  you all enjoy reading this. God bless the writer.

Long Lost Journal - Trust

Today I found this Long Lost Journal. So i Decided to post it Here. Well It is a Dream That  I had before and I wrote it down. Hope this will Bless anyone that read it.

Today I had a dream,

The first part of my dream is,
I was at a prayer meeting which my brother is leading, the presence of God is there and that everything is SUPERNATURAL! But I am sleeping in it. My brother said to me “YOU are slacking, something is wrong with you!!” I really didn’t like my brother scolding me that way.

After awhile, someone came to me (he is a leader). I don’t remember who is it but he certainly is someone that I admire and respect (in the dream). This man asked me one question. “Something is wrong in your life, what is that?” at that point in the dream, I have a major problem or a sin (I’m not so sure already). I was so scared to answer him; I told him another problem I am facing (which I also don’t remember now). He answered “fix it” and then he left.

I was thinking to myself, how to fix it? Why did he say something like that and leave?

I don’t remember what happen after that, which leads me to the 2nd part of the dream

I met this man again, this time he went straight up to me. I knew it in my heart that he knows what I am going through and that he know I lied to him the other time. He wanted the biggest problem that I am facing but I tell him other small ones. That is why he said “fix it” that’s all.

This time he said “we are humans and that humans are weak, we sin, we have problems and we are not perfect. That is why; we have friends and leaders to help us, to encourage us, to cover us, to protect us.”

At that time, I understand one thing. More like I learn something new.

We are always hiding our problems and our sin. But we have leaders and friends. We say we trust them and we know we can trust them. But in the end, do we really trust them? Did we act out our trust to our friends?

When we have a problem and sin, we should just say it out to the right person who is our leader and our close friends. If we do not, how are we giving them the chance to prove our trust? How are they going to protect us? How are they going to encourage and comfort us?

If we do not do these things, we can never overcome the sin and the problem that we are facing. We will be haunted by them forever. We will face the same problems again and again.

Hasta Luego! Cheers

Antique Vampire Killing Kit

Antique Vampire Killing Kit

Well, there is this vampire hype thing going on, And  i just happen to found some information that interest me. So i thought i might just share it here.
This Vampire Killing Kit is from the 1800s. It has a Bible, holy water, a cross, silver bullets, a gun, candles, knives, garlic, and of course wooden stakes.
This particular kit sold for $15,000 in an antique auction, and for good reason–it’s awesome. And these vampire killing kits were apparently a thing in the 1800s. Check out more of them here and here and here.

The question remains, were these kits serious or a novelty? Since most of the kits are high quality and date from around the 1840s (the novel Dracula came out in 1897), it seems that these were intended to really protect people from vampires.

So basically, I don't know much and don't really believe  in Vampire, but why would people make this things? if anyone knew, do drop some words in the comment box

Will you marry me?

Today I saw a picture  in facebook.

Will You Marry Me?

Yeah we could laugh about this. I had a good laugh about this too. But after awhile, I thought to myself how come nowadays, everyone became so materialistic?

So today I tweeted about this:
Every wonder why the guy will say "Will you marry me?" during a proposal?
That's because he is offering himself, Not his Salary or property

I am sure none of the girl's  I know ask these kind of questions. But well, it  is just weird that a Guy ask if the girl would Marry HIM. And get an answer about Marrying his riches, Property, Belongings, and everything else but not HIM.

I just had a conversation about a girl thinking, if the guys only want to have a girl that is pretty. For a start yes, Same goes to the guys because We guys want a girl not because of Herself but only for her physical Beauty.

We ought to think about how we made our choices. Both Gender seriously have something to think about. That includes me. So I will be thinking for now.
