He is Back! Big Brother 郑 is back (西安面馆)

郑哥, is back to Kota Kinabalu. The founder of one of my favorite china noodle store (西安面馆)

I used to eat in their kk shop for a long time.
Ever since mco, Big Brother have gone back to China. And we are left with hunger cravings that can never be filled.

Just when our hopes are gone, thinking we will never eat BiangBiang Noodles (𰻞𰻞麵) again in our life.

Suddenly, Big Brother 郑 is back!!

So this is the shop and some pictures. Please be nice to him as his shop is low on staff and over crowded.

Be ready to wait a little. I write this post when im waiting too. I was quite bored. Hahaha.
Tadaaaaaa, the signature Biang Biang Noodles!

This is also a signature dish. Their Chinese Pork Burger (肉夹馍)
We ordered the fat pork version. Theres the skinny ones and the plain just bun types.

Here are the info of the shop

Osaka Trip - Day 2

Yo Gigglers,
After a long night, i basically didnt sleep in preparation to fly at 830am to 230pm (330pm Japan time), it a 6 hour flight, so i thought i could sleep in the plane. I basically only got to sleep around 2 to 3 hr. Too excited. Damn, so damn tiring.

Our plane.
Superb excited for this!!!

So we arrived at Osaka (KIX) airport,my lugage cracked and lost a wheel. Hahahaha, we had to get a report for insurance claim, it was not hard. Japanese are very systematic, the report is generated very quickly, albeit the language barrier, the service and politeness of japanese still amaze me. But i need to give a great shout out to my pretty friend Vivian Chin, a greta insurance agent. she helped me handle everything, from looking for who to lead us into doing the report for insurance claim to taking pictures and keeping of my documents. Worth buying travel insurance from her.
*Love you so much Vivi.

There is a lack of photo due to the rush.
So we got out of the airport, get our train pass and hop onto the train. Not forgetting to grab our sandwich and daifuku from 7eleven store.
Really Thankful that Raymond could help arrange the train transportation so well. Queue-ing, timing, which platform, which train, which line, which pass. Without raymond, i am sure it is damn tough and a lot of roaming thru errors to get to where we want to.

Ok after arriving Kyoto, we walk to our Hotel.
And this is how it looks

We basically Quickly unload and gear up, went out to look for dinner.
We had earlier decided to go to Ichiran Ramen.
So here we are!

To be honest, i just follow the flow, i didnt really fancy going to a super popular ramen shop, thinking it might be overrated trourist trap kind of place.
The experience is quite cool. Kind and polite, easy to understand way of order.
Ordering thru a ticket counter, very easy for me to understand, because there is english version. Basically pick what you want and pay here.

I dont even know what is this, just took a picture of the counter.
We were welcome and ushered into this room with small eating cubicle for each person.
The first thought i had was "What impressive attention to details Japanese have!"
They have hanger for your bag and coat, tissue right on the wall with toothpicks beside it. They know many people won't be able to speak the language so they had a few tags ready for you to use to show the waiter (with english). It was fairly easy to eat thru this place comfortably.

A picture of The prettiest woman in my life. My wifeeey!
I thank God she have  a very handsome and charismatic husband. Hahahaha
The ever supporting and caring Samuel and Magdalene.
Raymond and Vivian

Now to the main star of the day!
Ichiran Ramen No.1 Choice, 5 in 1 Set (Ramen, Egg, Extra chasu pork, Seaweed and Black Fungus) all these cost 1650¥ (around rm55)..... Well after converting it back to ringgit it feels very expensive. Lets just consider it Dolar to dolar so its lile rm16.50 lah. Ahahahaha
Now this is what i feel about this meal.
The experience is Great!
The taste is Really Good. The soup is delicious and thick but not overly fat until your lips stick to each other. Chasu is amazing.
So i didnt regret following the flow. Thanks to my friends recommendation, we end up eating more than a warm hot meal. We had great taste and great experience to go with.

After everything we walk thru the cold. Went to Donquijote, bought some drinks and snacks, also bought these powdered bath salt. And went through pontocho at 11pm. (We shouldnt have)
Most shops are closed, except the Izakayas and some shops that have girl posters outside and have girl in short skirt welcoming you.
*Raymond wonder what it is inside but we didnt dare to go in*😂

After pontocho, my wife is tired, so we hurriedly go back to the hotel.
1 corner before our hotel my wife saw curry noodles and pork bowl shop and she said something that even shocked me
"Wanna eat before we go back?"
I quickly said yes. Ahahahaha. This is my kind of travel trip.
The gang wanted to go back and bath then come out to eat. That was tiring but also acceptable. We should have just eaten and got back to shower. Hahaha. But nonetheless it was fun..the food was Great! But i didnt take any pictures.

One last thing to add, bath salt are very interesting, filled your bath tub and then pour in, you have yourself a luxury bath. Bath salt are around 100¥ each.(Thats like Rm1 to the japanese but to us rm3.40)

Ok thats about it.

See you tomorrow

Osaka Trip Day1

How ya doing guys,
Half a year ago, we (Me and Wifie, Raymond and Vivian, Samuel and Magdalene) have plan to roam the planet.
Our target destination is Osaka and Kyoto.

Today kinda mark the first day of the trip.
We bought Scoot airlines which is a connecting flight to Osaka through Singapore. and hell yeah, the wait time is brutal.

We had to sleep in the airport from 12am to 6am. Cos our flight is at 830am.

At first we roam around looking for spots to rest but most of the place that is comfy are taken already. Its filled till the floor.

And as we continue searching we found this place, no one is really here, maybe due to the bright lights here. So we set camp and this is how it looks.
Wifie dead tired. Hahaha. Kesian

bam. 3 musketeers
Sam found himself a spot

Ok. Gotta sleep now. Good night. See you tomorrow

Hasta Luego~

Offering Challenge - Total Surrender (Luke 9:23)

Good Morning Everyone!

Time for Tithe and  Offering.

Today i would like to share a little.
When we talk about tithe and offering, it is an act of surrendering.
so today i would like to talk about surrender.

What does The world we live in today look at surrender as?
the dictionary define surrender as
- Give up or hand over (a person, right, or possesion), typically on compulsion or demand.

1. The world believe that surrender is only surrendering a part of  your life.
 - Chinese believe that we surrender today in order to rise up stronger  again on another day (

东山再起)

2. Compulsion or  on demand
 - We surrender out of  compulsion or being demanded.
 - No one would think about surrendering willingly.

However, God think otherwise.
In Luke 9:23
And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”

When God talk about surrender, it is a total surrender, a form of self denial. take note that  Jesus says to deny self and to take up his cross and follow Jesus. Jesus gave up everything as a total surrender to God. and we are called to follow after this.

and alsoJesus started with the word "IF" anyone would come after me. It is not a demand, but  a call to action from Jesus that if we want to follow God, we do as such, which is to totally surrender to Him.

So today, i want to encourage everyone to come in total surrender before we enter worship and sermon, we can surrender our finances to God as an act of total surrender.

Let  us prepare our offering.

Hasta Luego! Cheers~

12/7/20 sunday service - Count of things loss

Today service the main verse we read is Phillipians 3 : 8 - 11
Then Pastor Kenneth asked this mind-boggling Question.

This is a good question because it kick start something in me. I became introspective. And its going deep.  So my answer is this.

When i chose God, and came back to Sabah on 2012, Leaving Kl for good and coming back to Sabah. It wasn't comfortable and it certainly is a leaving my "comfort zone" kind of thing.
I left a great place, a great church, great mentor, great ministry and opportunity in church (in ministry and also girls *wink wink* you know what i mean) and great friends in church. Other than church, i lose out on job opportunity, career advancement, business opportunity, and relationship opportunity (imagine how many chance i would have in a big city with so many people i could meet).

I consider all this as a Loss.

Just by following God. and to know i am walking in His plans, is a blessing and comfort for me.  Even though sometimes it felt like walking on water. But through these years in Sabah. What i felt, i have lost, God have proven faithful and have been blessing me back.

Seeing God move in me, through me and with me. And through all this, helps me see and know God even more than ever!
His power, His character, His faithfulness, His thoughts, His perspective, His ways, His Love and many more. Being able to suffer together as i am given a chance to serve him in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Even when i am back in KK, everyone was looking and wondering what i can do. I actually came back defeated. (I failed in business, i have debts, i have no house, no car, no career) Yet, i found Him, and know him, and to be able to walk in faith and rely on him. This reliance, helps me to walk in righteousness in God. Even though there are ups and downs, and i have done many mistakes, but walking in this way, helps me enjoy His righteousness. And i found that it is imposibble for me to be righteous and sin-less. However i can put on the righteousness of God and i can follow Him. I can have victory over sin. I Can persue God and Christlikeness. It is a lifelong journey to work on my Salvation.

This start me thinking what if:
1. If i had stayed in KL and disobey God's calling for me to go back to Sabah, I might end up serving ministry than God.
2. I might be too comfortable to self improve
(I learned patience and change of views., i now believe in efficacy rather than being efficient, there are so much more)
3. I Found the love of my life
4. I get to live a life of what God wants me to be.
5. I get to have Opportunity and experience to create and bring forth changes in Likas Baptist Church
6. I had 3 years of roofing industry expereience and another 4 years of getting to know the entire sabah market, meeting and building rapport with directors in sabah. A Job experience that i wouldnt have in KL.
7. A Business experience of doing roofing business and now a chance to enter into detergent supply and car care business.
8. At the highest of my salary in Sabah, i once earned five figure salary.
9. I have met and made Great friends
10. More importantly, i get to build and spend time with my Parents and siblings. I get to spend time with my niece and nephew. (especially during MCO, i can see how precious this is)

After introspecting, I think I can say this now, "I Have no Regrets and i Have not loss anything, instead i have gain so much more".

So this is my response to God:
I am remembered of the Joy of following God as i write this.
And i want to conclude that Following God is amazing.

So I will write my answer to this question in a form of My prayer to God.

Dear Lord, be it deep waters or high mountains, good or bad or tough times, even if to suffer with you. God, as long as you are with me, i am contented and blessed. I want to renew my pledge with You Lord, That please lead me, send me and i will go. I want to walk in you and with you. Help me to walk in faith and to step out into the unknown, as long as i know you are with me, i will go.
In Jesus' Name I pray,
Amen!

Oden KK - Mala soup Oden 麻辣乌冬面

Today i got stuck in lintas due to the sudden down pour. So i went to have some snacks. Came across this shop. Its a stall in a shop in lintas square. The name of the shop is in chinese 关东煮•乌冬面 which in english it is Oden Kk.

This is their fb link : HERE

So to be honest, the spiciness is good and the oden is ok. I expect the oden to be inside the soup for quite sometime, but the way they make it is basically putting all the oden into your bowl and then add the soup.
So the pros are:
1. Lots of variety of stuff for you to choose
2. 3 type of soup (chicken, sour spicy soup, and mala soup)

What i find not to my expectations is:
1. Oden not cooked in the soup
2. Mala soup base is not pork broth or heavy chicken broth (a little light on the soup taste)

However , i am still interested to try the sour spicy soup 酸辣汤.

So do give this shop a chance. Its worth a try.
